Data Engineer

The Data Engineer role will focus on the development and maintenance of data ingestion & processing and analytics / ML engineering pipelines to support the delivery of analytics product requirements and general business needs. The candidate will work alongside the Business Analytics Manager(s) to deliver these needs accordingly working individually and/or across the immediate team / global teams. The role will work with the Business Analytics Manager(s) and the Data Engineering Manager support on the following activities: - Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design efficient and reliable data solutions. - Monitor and optimize data pipelines to improve performance and reliability. - Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner. - Develop and maintain MVP Web application products, ensuring seamless integration with data pipelines.

- Have Undergraduate level qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Have to 2 years experience in a similar position of Data Engineering. Open to fresh graduates who have a strong learning agility and can display a good command of technical skills. - Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and Scala. Experience with data manipulation and transformation using SQL, PySpark, Pandas and Power Query. - Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and frameworks, such as Apache Spark. - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. - Familiarity with pipeline orchestration, and workflow management tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow). - Familiarity with interactive development environments such as Databricks or Jupyter Notebook. - Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices. - Familiarity with data visualization tools, ability to use DAX in PowerBI. - Familiarity with developing web application using framework such as Spring MVC. • Big plus if having a solid in any front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, …
