Luxembourg Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, assists the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to implement the project. VIE/031 “Strengthening of Human Resources in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry in Vietnam” which has a duration of 4 years. Villa Hue as a practical training facility for students of Hue Tourism College, originally 12 rooms, is currently under expansion for an extra 21 rooms expected to have soft opening by mid 2015. The expansion aims to: (i) facilitate possibilities of training for more students, (ii) be able to achieve higher occupancy and a higher room rate yield for profitability and sustainability, and (iii) become the “Centre of Best Practice” for the other hotel/tourism schools.
