Merchandise Planning Senior Manager
Job description
Responsibility 1: Commercial Strategic consulting
- Set up annual commercial planning by Category by store by month. Monitor commercial performance frequently and balance projected sales and actual sales by sale plan from other BU
- Propose category strategy in short and mid-term based on category management concept to Commercial Leaders
- Control collaboration of commercial vendors thorough the effectiveness in operation and commercial supportiveness
- Research market landscape, trend, pricing, competitor to quickly have innovation, solution for business development
Responsibility 2: Data systematic management
- Control the accuracy and punctuality of data on system: registration and modification (product information/status, vendor information/status/commission term, price and trade promotion information)
- Build and revise all procedures, guidance, standard and principle which are involved in retail operation (category, vendor, product, price and promotion)
Responsibility 3: Coordinate with external partner and be responsibly in sending report to Government Department
- Judge report/data before sending out of company to ensure the accuracy and appropriate information
- Connect external partners to internal teams to explore new initiative or improve commercial action
Responsibility 4: Reporting
Job requirements
Qualifications (Essential): Bachelor’s degree in Business management, Finance, Data Scientist
Professional Knowledge:
- Having strong retail operation and merchandising management knowledge
- Having financial knowledge and strategic mindset
Necessary Skills:
- Good Data analysis and integrity skill
- Excellent in negotiation and persuasion, communication and presentation skill
- Time management, multi-task handling, critical thinking and problem solving
Others requirements:
- Fluency in working with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Know how on using big data tool (Power BI, Tableau, SQL/Python/R language,…)
- Good written and communication in English
Professional Experience:
- 5 year experience at least in category management/planning/marketing
- Have experience in setting up processes: category management; data management; vendor management
- Have knowledge in working with big data, data modelling, …
- Have experience in project management (CRM, Store segmentation, Catchment,…) be an advance
