1) Quality Management
• To train, audit, monitor, manage and lead the laboratory with a close control of procedures for quality control of all products (following Company’s Quality management System): A/C 60/70, Polymer Modified Bitumen, bitumen emulsion, cold mix, industrial bitumen and other specialty bituminous products… in compliance with both the internationals standards (ASTM, AASHTO, EN, ISO etc) and the Standard Specifications promulgated by the Ministry of Transport in Vietnam.
• To ensure that ADCo operations (bitumen handling/storage/delivery, production of manufactured products such as PMB, Emulsion cold mixes etc) are performed in compliance with the quality procedure and standards applied by the Company Quality Management System.
• To establish and/or maintain high standards in terms of laboratory management (Traceability, reliability, consistency, accuracy) for the laboratory according to Company Quality Policy and QMS.
• To communicate and collaborate with operations department in case of quality issues and to implement and follow-up corrective actions related to these issues.
• To review and certify test reports provided by the lab technicians and maintain the record of all documents as per QMS requirements.
2) Lab Management
• To maintain high level of HSE awareness among the laboratories and ensure that all the staff has a permanent and easy access to the required PPEs
• To maintain the lab facilities in good HSE condition
• To establish and maintain a detailed inventory for Lab equipment, Accessories and PPEs
• To Manage the sue of consumables and chemicals in the laboratory
• To Monitor and review Lab/Staff Expenses and follow uqup on the execution of CAPEX investments provided by the Top Management
• To Create/Maintain a good collaboration with Vietnamese public authorities and technical entities (external laboratories, universities, R&D centres etc)
• To be responsible for monitoring, managing and supervising QC staffs (i.e lab technicians, Lab helpers)
• To ensure enough resources (equipment, accessories, chemicals) to perform the test as per Company QMS
3) Reporting:
• To provide daily, weekly and Monthly activity reports as per BOM requirements
4) Other tasks
• To provide technical support and assistance to the Company’s customers, contractors, consultants regarding the products mentioned above if required by the technical service team.
