Accountant

Duties & responsibilities:

• Making accurate entries of all transactions in the Branch’s accounting books and ensuring that the Branch’s accounting books and supporting documents are maintained in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards and the Singapore Head Office’s requirements

• Preparing and providing monthly and ad-hoc accounting and management reports

• Preparing, issuing and managing invoices to clients in line with contractual terms

• Monitoring and controlling all account receivables to ensure timely payment

• Managing all financial obligations to the suppliers, controlling and settling their accounts

• Monitoring the Branch’s cash flows and making monthly cashflow forecast

• Managing expenditures of the Branch in a cost effective manner

• Preparing and ensuring timely filing of statutory tax returns and discharge of tax obligations

• Preparing financial statements to the Singapore Head Office and to the relevant Vietnamese authorities

• Liaising and working with the tax authorities, banks and external auditors in respect of the Branch’s financial issues

• Ensuring the Branch is in compliance with Vietnamese laws and regulations on tax and accounting

• Conducting administrative functions as assigned by the Branch’s management

• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance

• Chief Accountant Certificate (Must requirement)

• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance

• At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting with 1 or 2 years in similar position

• Good command of English

• Proficient in accounting software

• Problem solving and organizational skills.
