Accountant Assistant Section Leader - Work in Phu Yen

Job Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced accountant to join our Accounting Department. This position plays a key leadership role in managing the financial and accounting functions, with direct reporting responsibilities to our Singapore Office. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in financial reporting, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

· Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.

· Analyse financial data and provide insights for decision-making.

2. Accounting and Financial Operations:

· Oversee day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

· Conduct periodic balance sheet and expense reviews to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance:

· Ensure adherence to accounting standards, local regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.

4. Audit and Tax Governance:

· Coordinate with external auditors, address audit findings and implement corrective measures.

· Assist the Singapore Office in liaising with local authorities regarding Transfer Pricing and Customs audits.

· Prepare corporate tax filings and computations.

5. Team Management:

· Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

· Provide training and guidance to ensure team competency and professional growths.

6. Process Improvement:

· Continuously evaluate accounting workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

· Recommend and implement process enhancements.

7. Ad Hoc Duties:

· Undertake additional assignments as required by management.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· Chief Accountant Certificate is preferred.

· In-depth knowledge of Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS), Tax Regulations, and IFRS.

· Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.

· At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.

· Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
