Accountant - Finest Future Oy

Finest Future is a dynamic and rapidly growing start-up based in Vietnam and in Finland, we are dedicated to providing innovative educational and career solutions. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team and play a critical role in managing our financial operations.

The General Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company's internal accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, handling customer invoicing and ensuring timely communication with customers, partners, and sales staff, and handling international money transactions.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Accounting Liabilities

- Accounting Inventories

- Bank accounting

- Accounting Payment

- Corporate accounting.

Internal Accounting:

- Track, manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank transactions, and bank reconciliations.

- Make, track, and manage the company’s bookkeeping.

- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with local accounting standards.

- Keep up to date on all Vietnamese Laws and regulations that relate to finance and accounting matters and other relevant issues and ensure that the company is informed of such matters.

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Draft, review, and revise commercial, bank, and charter contracts.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Reporting support for internal reporting and cost tracking.

International Money Transactions:

- Handle and oversee international money transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

- Monitor and manage foreign exchange transactions and currency risk.

- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to facilitate smooth international transactions.

Invoicing:

- Preparing and emailing invoices to customers, with supporting documentation.

- Tracking, reviewing, verifying, and issuing invoices.

- Assisting with past due or denied invoices.

Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with tax filings and audits.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and industry best practices.

- Prepare and submit financial reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.

Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

- Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proficient in Vietnam’s Accounting Profession. Knowledgeable in Vietnamese tax and banking system and regulations.

- Internationally qualified as ACCA/ ACA/ CPA.

- Understand the work ethic standardized by VAS, GAAP, IFRS.

- Have a track record working as a bank accountant, particularly in international transferring.

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate accounting, with exposure to international money transactions and bank accounting.

- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

- Experience working in a start-up environment and Big 4 are a plus.

- Advanced skills in accounting software and Google tools (particularly Sheets).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
