Accounting & Administration Department Staff
Job description
This job roles requires the procurement /accounting specialist follow through the complete procurement process from procurement request, request audit, recommendation, procurement, product delivery and receipt, asset tag assignment, warehousing collaboration, procurement document update, book-keeping data entry.
This job is most suitable for someone with about 3 years working experience in general administrative office roles or book keeping with education background in accounting.
- Be responsible for everyday procurement needs of the business from office stationeries to materials required for the laboratory.
- First level procurement request audit.
- The online procurement specialist will also work directly with department managers and technical staff to work out the best procurement options for each procurement request in terms of cost, delivery time, product quality, reliability of supply.
- For certain procurement requests, the procurement specialist needs to audit the procurement request, work with General Manager and Department manager to propose procurement plans.
- Supplier/ product recommendation
- Product procurement from online commercial platforms such as Amazon, Shopee, Lazada, eBay, AliExpress, suppliers’ or retailers’ websites, manufacturers websites, and via direct communication with industry suppliers.
- Bookkeeping data entry for all transactions undertaken by yourself.
- Take care of warranty / after product delivery work
Job requirements
What do we expect from you:
- 3-year diploma or 4-year bachelor’s degree preferably accounting background.
- English: equivalent to IELTS 5.5. You must be able to communicate well with overseas suppliers from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand… We do NOT require IELTS certificate, but we expect the applicant to be able to communicate in a manner that is equivalent to someone who score IELTS 5.5.
- Microsoft Office 365, Good with Word, Excel. Any experience with Office 365 SharePoint would be a plus.
- Good with search engines and search tools on online platforms.
- This is a job that require constant attention to details, just like an accountant and long constant working hours. The procurement specialist should be someone who can maintain constant focus at work and always pay attention to details from the beginning to end of the whole process.
- You do NOT need to have previous experience as a procurement specialist, but you should be able to work with details and precision as an accountant.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in procurement, accounting, or general administration in similar roles is an advantage.
Workday:
- Full time Monday – Friday.
- Plus 2 Saturday morning per month.
Salary: $700 - $1000 depending on skills and experience.
