Mô tả công việc
Job Purpose
A well-established Family Office Investment Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (CPA) for a 3–6 month project to lead a comprehensive reconciliation of historical financials across a diversified, U.S.-based real estate portfolio. The group manages approximately 20 properties across the United States, including multifamily, retail, warehouse, and development assets, and is undertaking a detailed cash and revenue reconciliation covering the past four years.
This is a hands-on, senior-level project role reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete a complex audit and reconciliation project from start to finish.
Scope of Work
• Lead a full cash and revenue reconciliation for approximately 20 U.S.-based real estate assets covering the past four fiscal years.
• Independently review and reconcile bank statements, property management system data, general ledgers, and intercompany accounts.
• Identify, investigate, and correct discrepancies between bank deposits, rent rolls, and accounting records.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly closes, including journal entries, accruals, and eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and CPA firms to prepare audit-ready documentation.
• Review and monitor bank loans, interest accruals, debt service payments, and compliance requirements.
• Reconcile and track property tax payments, NNN (triple-net) expenses, and insurance escrows.
• Support U.S. tax preparation and ensure proper alignment with entity-level U.S. tax returns.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and detailed reconciliation reports.
• Develop and strengthen internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures to ensure long-term accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports directly to the CEO regarding reconciliation status, findings, and recommendations.
Yêu cầu công việc
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience within real estate, family offices, or private investment funds.
• Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) experience strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise in real estate fund accounting, audits, and multi-entity reconciliations.
• Familiarity with bank loans, property taxes, NNN expenses, and U.S. tax fundamentals.
• Experience with U.S. tax returns (real estate partnerships, LLCs, and consolidated filings).
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordination with the CEO, auditors, and external professionals.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
• Experience with property management and accounting software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, RealPage, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and deliver accurate, audit-ready results under tight deadlines.
• High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism consistent with a family office environment.
