Accounting Teacher (SACE Program)

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Curriculum

● Teach SACE Accounting and related subjects such as Business Innovation, Economics, Research Practices, or Research Project.

● Prepare and submit semester teaching programs that meet school and SACE requirements.

● Communicate lesson content, learning activities, and assessment feedback to students via the school’s Learning Management System (LMS).

● Design inclusive programs that support students of all abilities — providing additional help where needed and extending high-achieving learners.

● Collaborate with other teachers in the SACE faculty to ensure consistency in teaching and assessment across year levels.

2. Assessment and Reporting

● Assess and report student achievement in accordance with SACE and Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards.

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.

● Use a range of formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate learning.

● Provide meaningful, timely, and constructive feedback to enhance student learning.

● Prepare reports that clearly communicate student achievement to parents and caregivers.

● Participate in both internal and external moderation processes to ensure fairness and consistency.

3. Teaching and Learning

● Demonstrate high-quality and engaging teaching practices in all lessons.

● Apply a variety of teaching strategies, such as direct instruction, group discussions, project-based learning, and independent study.

● Conduct parent–teacher conferences in line with the school’s schedule and expectations.

● Actively engage in professional learning to develop and update subject expertise and pedagogy.

● Participate in the school’s annual appraisal process, including feedback from students and peers.

4. General

● Contribute to wider school life, including school events, community activities, and promotional events as requested by the Principal.

● Attend staff meetings and participate actively in team discussions.

● Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the school.

● Demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing professional growth and improvement.

5. Safety and Wellbeing

● Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, and cooperate with actions that promote the safety of others.

● Report any accidents, incidents, or hazards as soon as possible.

● Adhere to all school safety, well-being, and child protection policies.

Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

● Bachelor’s degree in Education (Accounting, Business, or related field).

● Valid teaching certification.

● Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Accounting or related business subjects at high school, senior secondary, or university level.

● Eligible to work in Vietnam.

● Fluent in English (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent).

● Confident in using technology for teaching, learning, and assessment.

Highly Desirable:

● Experience teaching the Australian Curriculum or SACE, or other Australian senior secondary programs.
