AI & Workflow Automation Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a versatile technical builder who thrives on solving real business problems with practical code. In this role, you’ll help maintain and improve our internal tools built in Microsoft Access and VBA, while also working across Python, Google AppScript, Vertex AI, and SQL to automate document handling and back-office workflows.

You’ll join as a core technical member responsible for fixing broken systems, improving accuracy, and preparing for long-term migration from legacy tools to modern infrastructure.

Reports to: ET Management Lead

Experience Level: 1–3 years (Junior to Mid-Level)

What You’ll Work On

• Maintain, debug, and enhance tools in Microsoft Access (VBA)

• Build and improve Google AppScript workflows (e.g. forms, triggers, sheets logic)

• Support Vertex AI / Google Vision OCR document parsing and validation flows

• Write Python scripts for data transformation, JSON generation, and file parsing (e.g. Excel, PDF)

• Design basic SQL queries and views to support data tracking and reporting

• Collaborate with our product and ops team in Vietnam, India, and Singapore

• 1–3 years experience in technical or automation roles (or strong personal/academic projects)

• Solid foundation in Python, including working with data (e.g. pandas, openpyxl, regex)

• Comfortable reading/debugging VBA or AppScript code

• Working knowledge of SQL for basic queries and data manipulation

• Curious, detail-oriented, and self-driven — you enjoy fixing things that break

• Able to document what you build and think through edge cases

• Comfortable learning tools you’ve never seen before and asking questions when stuck

Bonus (Nice to Have, Not Required)

• Familiarity with OCR tools like Vertex AI Vision, Tesseract, or similar

• Experience migrating from Access to Postgres/MySQL

• Worked on financial operations (e.g. invoices, billing, reports)

• Knows basic REST APIs and how to work with Google Suite integrations

Bonus (Nice to Have, Not Required)

• Familiarity with OCR tools like Vertex AI Vision, Tesseract, or similar
