About the Role

We are developing a first-of-its-kind Home AI Data Center — a compact, plug-and-play system that combines AI computing, home server functionality, media center capability, and gaming performance in one unified device.

We’re seeking a highly capable AI Software & UI Developer to design, build, and optimise the software layer and user experience that powers the system. This includes the full interface, control panel, onboarding flow, monitoring dashboards, and all user-facing interactions.

This role is central to transforming powerful hardware into a simple, elegant, consumer-ready experience.

Key Responsibilities

UI/UX Development

Design and build an intuitive, modern, responsive UI for the Home AI Data Center.

Create a seamless plug-and-play user experience for first-time setup and configuration.

Develop dashboards for:

AI model management

System monitoring (CPU, GPU, RAM, temps, storage, cooling)

Networking and device connections

Gaming and performance modes

Implement clean, user-friendly workflows that feel professional and premium.

Software Architecture & System Integration

Build the main software layer that communicates with the system hardware.

Integrate with Proxmox, Docker/LXC containers, and virtualization environments.

Develop services/APIs that manage AI workloads, storage, and user profiles.

Implement control systems for hardware features such as cooling modes, networking, and power management.

AI Features & Functionality

Integrate local LLMs, voice assistants, or modular AI toolkits into the UI.

Create simple controls for users to run AI inference tasks and install new models.

Optimise UI performance to handle real-time GPU/CPU monitoring.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with the AI Hardware Systems Engineer on system control integration.

Collaborate with the Mechanical/Industrial Designer to match UI with the physical experience.

Provide regular updates to the founder and help guide product direction.

Product Experience & Quality

Deliver a polished, visually stunning, and high-performance interface.

Conduct user testing and iterate based on feedback.

Ensure fast load times, smooth animations, and reliable system behavior.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Technical Skills

Strong experience with front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, or similar).

Strong UI/UX design skills (Figma, Sketch, or similar).

Experience building dashboards or control panels for hardware or IoT devices.

Proficiency with backend integration (Node.js, Python, Go or similar).

Solid knowledge of Linux systems and server environments.

Familiarity with virtualization stacks: Proxmox, Docker, LXC.

Experience building APIs and microservices.

Understanding of system monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) is a plus.

Experience with local AI model integration (optional but a major advantage).

Soft Skills

Creativity with strong product thinking.

High attention to detail and a passion for clean design.

Able to work independently and take ownership of the full UI stack.

Strong problem-solving skills and communication abilities.

Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements – AI Software & UI Developer

Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, UI/UX Design, or related field.

1 - 2+ years of professional experience in software development and UI/UX engineering.

Strong proficiency with modern front-end frameworks: React, Vue, Svelte, or Angular.

Skilled in UI/UX design tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.

Experience building dashboards or control interfaces for hardware, IoT, or server systems.

Solid understanding of Linux, server environments, and system-level operations.

Experience working with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
