Air Freight Capacity Management Specialist

Main Tasks & Key Responsibilities:

▪ Executes global procurement strategy

▪ Ensures adherence to global negotiated contracts

▪ Plans route and allocates capacity (identifies options, allocates shipment against available capacity)

▪ Performs market and customer analysis to forecast demand/supply at country level (collects data, prepares, validates and analyzes data accuracy)

▪ Maintains most up to date information on balance between demand and supply at country level

▪ Performs negotiations to procure local capacity (schedules, rates) – end-to-end

▪ Optimizes local procurement for spot quotes and consolidation opportunities

▪ Ensures internal local rates input into the rate management system and checks validities

▪ Initiates corrective actions on local level or escalation to global

▪ Is responsible for identifying issues and escalating them to direct report when required

▪ Monitors carrier performance in line with balanced score cards

Qualifications:

▪ Deep knowledge of forwarding business

▪ Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel

▪ Strong analytical skills and good communication skills

▪ Commercial experience/capabilities

▪ Ability to work under pressure

▪ Strong problem-solving mentality

▪ Good at English (verbal/written) & Microsoft Office
