Apparel Merchandiser (Sourcing)

Proposing New Suppliers/Products to Buyers: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through market research, trade shows, and industry contacts. Collaborate with buyers and sales teams to understand market demands and customer preferences. Propose new suppliers and products that align with sales targets and market trends to increase sales and revenue. Production Management: Coordinate with suppliers to manage the production process from order placement to shipment. Monitor production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. Address any production issues or delays and implement corrective actions to meet delivery deadlines. Instruct Suppliers to Improve Quality and Ensure Delivery Plan: Conduct regular quality inspections at supplier facilities to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. Provide clear instructions and guidance to suppliers on quality standards, production requirements, and delivery schedules. Collaborate with suppliers to implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to delivery plans.

Chinese or Business English languages to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience in apparel sourcing, merchandising, or related roles within the fashion industry. Strong understanding of supply chain management, production processes, and quality control principles. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and buyers. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software.
