Description of the organization’s expectation:

It is important that all IG Asia Vietnam employees have a clear understanding of the expectations of their duties and responsibilities. This job description outlines the major responsibilities for this role and is a guide to the employees and their managers as to their overall responsibilities. The employee recognizes that they may be required to undertake work that is outside of the specifics of this job description from time to time, as required and requested to do so for the good operations of IG Asia Vietnam, and they agree to undertake all reasonable and lawful instructions provided to them.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties assigned by Design Manager, Design Director or Pre-construction Director

• Undertake architectural, schematic and concept design for assigned projects, with the ability to undertake design details (windows, doors etc) including preliminary design calculations, preliminary sketches/drawings, preliminary specifications and other required design information.

• Liaise with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coherent and correct, as well as aesthetically pleasing design.

• Make amendments to the design as required.

• Undertake detailed design work on projects as required and fully check and ensure designs are properly validated as per the approved design process.

• Undertake site visits as required.

• Undertake quality assurance checking of drawings and calculations produced by self and that of other team members as directed by Design Manager, Design Director or Pre-construction Director.

• Ensure that all drawings are reviewed and checked by Design Manager, Design Director and/or Pre-construction Director prior to external issue.

• Produce architectural design briefs, documents, reports and specifications as required.

• Produce architectural drawings utilizing Revit and AutoCad as appropriate for the project.

• Follow Company’s design procedures.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Degree qualified in Architecture with experience of industrial high-end projects.

• Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 5 Years post graduate experience.

• Intermediate time management and organizational skills with the ability to self-manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCad and Revit.

• Familiarity with D5, Lumion or other rendering software will be a plus.

• Good knowledge of Vietnamese standards and construction regulations

• Intermediate knowledge of Design Standards in Asia and in Europe.

• Good knowledge of local market materials used in construction

• Familiar with green and sustainable design is a plus

• Intermediate written and spoken communication skills with a minimum basic understanding of English.
