Assistant Accounting Manager

US MNC in Quang Nam looking for a knowledgeable Assistant Accounting Manager (AM) who can manage and lead a team and increase department cohesiveness and efficiency.

This role will supervise a team, manage, train and motivate the team, participate in the accounting tasks, oversee the recording, tracking and reporting of financial information, develop and implement department controls and procedures, and ensure that the department operates efficiently.

This person should possess excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, as well as strong understanding of accounting and financial legislation of Vietnam.

Local and foreigners are welcome.

The selected candidate will report to Singapore office. They will be contacted for a walk-in interview in June or July 2025 in Danang. Details and venue of the interview will be provided once confirmed.

Financial Reporting

- Manages the accounting team, oversee the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that month-end , quarterly reports and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time

- Maintaining accurate and complete financial records

- Ensure compliance with Vietnam Accounting Standards and current financial legislation.

Audit Coordination

- Involve and providing support in external, internal and government related audit activities

Tax compliance

- Ensure that all local tax compliance is prepared, reviewed and filed on a timely basis

(e-invoice , CIT, FCT etc)

- Ensure adequate and appropriate records are maintained for tax record-keeping purposes.

Internal Control

- Ensure that key controls for Finance and Accounting are in place and effectively implemented in the company processes

- Review and provide suggestions on areas of improvement and controls where required

General

- Leading and developing the accounting team, ensuring appropriate technical skill sets are in place.

- Take lead in events like annual financial audit, tax audit etc

- Able to work closely with the accounting team and various departments to resolve issues and improvement plans

- Support assignment of ad hoc projects as required.

- Graduated from University with majors in Accounting and Auditing

- Have 10 years or more working experience as a Chief Accountant or other equivalent positions in manufacturing and FDI companies.

- Have worked in manufacturing companies for more than 5 years

- Able to communicate in both written and spoken English is a must

- Good knowledge in Vietnamese Accounting Standards and Vietnam Tax regulations

- Have experience in managing a team, able to lead and motivate the team

- Strong in leadership, interpersonal and communication

- Able to think logically, and work independently

- Able to stay objective and perform problem-solving

- Good time-management and is a strong team player

- Able to hand on when required

*Working hour: 8am – 4pm, Working days: Monday – Friday (alternate Saturday off).
