The role & key responsibilities
The Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance, safety and risk management, budget management, audit and inspection and improvement quality of works of the Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems to meet the local and Austria standards. This position will focus to build and implement the standard documents and processes, licensing and certification to align with RMIT global standards and support line managers to lift up the performance of the facilities management and technical services department. This position will also support engaging with performance managing contractors to ensure excellent service levels are achieved.
Key selection criteria
- Technical Competence: A Bachelor in Automation/Electrical/Mechanical Technical or Solid background in engineering, plant machinery, BMS, systems and excellent equipment knowledge, or a Bachelor in Facilities management, Project management or relevant field.
- Solid understanding about standard process of operation and maintaining MEP system.
- Quality Management & Organizational Skills: Excellent quality management & organizational skills to prioritize work and meet requirement, Proven ability to manage quality of works, track, record and analyze multiple and complex operational matters.
- Quest for Excellence: attention for detail to ensure the best delivery of services, goal-oriented, able to focus on meeting all performance targets.
- Problem Solving & Strategic Thinking: Capacity to deal with ambiguity and solve complex problems effectively, analytical, proven ability to solve problems using a quantitative approach, proven ability to employ holistic approaches and looks at long term solutions.

English proficiency requirements
If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at a BULATS Advanced level (BULATS score 75), equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.5. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a BULATS test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
