The role & key responsibilities
The Assistant Manager, Contract & Insurance Administration is the key member of the Compensation, Benefits and HR Services team and responsible for the supervision of daily operations concerning employment contract management, and administration of statutory and non-statutory insurance schemes for RMIT Vietnam covering all expatriate and Vietnamese employees.
The range of duties includes but is not limited to the following key delivery areas.
Responsible for various processes in contracting an employee throughout the employment term of the person, from the start to the end
In charge of the compliance concerning statutory insurance schemes (social, health, and unemployment insurance (“SHUI”)) established by the Government for all employees of RMIT Vietnam
Administering the approved non-statutory insurance schemes for all employees of RMIT Vietnam
Training, supervising and auditing Contract & Insurance staff work; and ensuring no disruption to monthly processing
Serving as a compliance advisor to other HR team members in terms of applicable laws and regulations in the statutory insurance area that have an impact on the team’s services
Others in contract and insurance administration area, as and when required
The position holder will be expected to work collaboratively and proactively with other HR staff to deliver a high-quality stakeholder experience.

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Auditing, Tax, Business, Commerce, or Human Resources Management. Post-graduate qualification in any relevant discipline is preferred.
At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar position in a large multinational organization or handling a client portfolio with more than 500 headcounts (in accumulation). Prior working experience as a Tax and/or Payroll Manager for a Big Four is an advantage
Track records of handling various projects at the same time, supervising team members, and reviewing team members’ work
Strong knowledge of employment laws and a keen understanding of their practical implementation in the workplace
Ability to analyse and interpret regulations in relation to statutory insurance compliance
Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting reports and analysis
Demonstrated experience in working with and managing clients across a diverse range of functions
Excellent organisation and planning skills; willingness to work with a large volume of paperwork and transactions
Well-developed interpersonal skills, including negotiation, liaison, and effective cross-cultural communication
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility, commitment to teamwork, and a willingness to adapt assignments to meet the University’s needs
Strong communication skills (verbal and written in English and Vietnamese). Minimum English requirement is IELTS (general) with a score of at least 6.5 (or equivalent).
Superior skills in Microsoft office or other relevant HR/IT data software. Experience and working knowledge of Work Day is desirable
Strong attention to details; high level of accuracy and confidentiality across all correspondence and administrative documents adhering to the University and departmental standards.

English proficiency requirements
If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard, equivalent to IELTS (General) 6.5. RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskills test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
