Assistant Manager - IT Infrastructure & Operations

Job Description:

• Is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes servers, networks, storage, cloud services, database and related systems.

• Ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of IT services, and leads a team to deliver reliable IT operations to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-lead and manage the IT infrastructure and operations team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.

• Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud platforms, etc.).

• Ensure system availability, reliability, and security in accordance with business requirements and SLAs.

• Oversee daily IT operations, including incident response, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.

• Manage IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations.

• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Monitor and analyze system performance; recommend and implement improvements.

• Manage IT assets, licenses, and inventory.

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, support, and maintenance.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security standards.

• Prepare and manage IT infrastructure budgets and resource planning.

• Provide regular reports on infrastructure health, incidents, and projects to IT Head and Management.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, or a related field.

• 5+ years Assistant Manager of experience in IT infrastructure, operations and support.

• Proven experience in managing IT teams.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of network, server, storage, and virtualization/containerization technologies (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Dell, VMware, Redhat Openshift, etc.).

• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

• Experience with monitoring and management tools.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Project management experience is an advantage.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

• Fluent in Vietnamese and English (both oral & written);

Certifications (Preferred):

• ITIL Foundation

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
