Assistant Production Manager

- To manage all machines and equipment on the shop floor with regards to safety, quality, productivity and functionality.

- To coordinate closely with the Lab and Quality Control to ensure the highest right-first-time rate in all production processes, the highest repeatability in bulk production and the highest reproducibility going from lab to development, and finally, to bulk.

- To ensure that bulk production and R&D activities are carried out promptly with the highest achievable quality and the lowest cost.

- To coordinate smoothly with Sales, Merchandisers and Planning to successfully develop new products/better processing techniques that serve both fabric and machine sales well.

- To coordinate smoothly with Maintenance and HSE to create and maintain safety, highest availability and less downtime of machines and equipment by issuing and enforcing rules and protocols for preventing accidents, quicker response to accidents/machine breakdowns.

- To manage waste outflows across the shop floor, to research new methods for waste reduction and to ensure compliance with the local environmental regulations with regards to wastewater quality and waste disposal.

- To lead improvement activites across the shop floor as part of the deployment of Lean production philosophies, and later on, Six Sigma quality control methodology.

- To coordinate well with HR and Higher Management levels to bridge the gap between maintaining order, discipline and satisfaction among all shop floor employees

Education - Bachelor’s Degree

- Technical Engineering

- Chemical Engineering

- Textile Engineering

- Related Field

Experience Required

- Excellent English (Written and Spoken)

- Ability to prepare Technical Reports

- Ability to prepare Production Summaries

- Ability to prepare SOP's

- Managing Production Team

- Familiar with Fabric Management

- Familiar with Polyester Dyeing

- Knowledge of Textile Finishing

- Knowledge of Textile Shade Matching

- Knowledge of RFT improvement

- Machine troubleshooting

- Monitor and optimize KPI

- Knowledge of LEAN, 5S systems is a plus

- Strong Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills
