Assistant Sourcing Manager

• Collaborate with business teams in Merchandising, R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to select and qualify suppliers and ensure that strategies support business unit objectives

• Work with suppliers to develop strategic plans to secure production capacity and raw materials and to drive production process efficiency for on time delivery.

• Oversee purchase order tracking and management processes in systems; proactively addresses delivery issues

• Cooperate and coordinate with cross function teams in the factory, production planning, procurement, project management and other related stakeholders to ensure sourcing support is smooth and well managed on cost, on time and on quality.

• Support new product development:

o Leveraging supplier innovation capabilities

o Sourcing for new programs / meeting launch requirements

o Ensuring product approval prior to production starts in associated with due date

• Collaborate with GTC Quality and Compliance teams to define quality standards/ issues and improve suppliers’ quality programs

• Collaborate with GTC and US Sourcing/logistics teams to oversee container consolidation and shipment arrangement

• Responsible for weekly supplier performance analysis/ measurements and quarterly scorecards and prioritizing supplier continuous improvement activities

• Identify, evaluate and develop potential new suppliers to meet company production requirements

• Ensure clarity on customer requests and advanced potential risks call out in production.

• Participate in conference calls as required

• University or equivalent level of education (supply chain management or similar discipline)

• At least 3-5 years’ working experience at the same level, preferably in multinational companies.

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation skills, effective problem-solving, time management and team spirit.

• Ability to collaborate across functions, business units and geographies

• Experience in planning, sourcing, outsourcing and supplier performance improvement.

• Proficient in MS Office and supply chain management.

• Proficient in communication skills (verbal and written) in English, Mandarin is a plus
