Associate Director, Corporate Affairs

A. Role Purpose

The Corporate Affairs Associate Director leads NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam’s engagement with government and regulatory stakeholders, proactively shaping and responding to the evolving regulatory landscape for innovation and technology. This role is pivotal in positioning NAB Vietnam as a trusted, long-term digital partner to Vietnam.

B. Key Responsibilities

Executive Government Engagement Planning

• Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for engagement with regulators.

• Build and execute a structured plan for the General Director to engage with key government leaders and agencies:

• Preparing briefing materials, coordinating high-level meetings, and ensuring top leader of the Centre is positioned as the official representative and trusted partner of NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam in all government interactions.

• The plan should support the Centre’s strategic objectives and reinforce its image as a leading Global Capabilities Centre and technology innovation partner in Vietnam.

Regulatory Engagement & Advocacy

• Build and maintain regular, open, and constructive relationships with senior officials, ensuring NAB’s strategic objectives and innovation agenda are well understood.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to regulatory engagement.

• Track and report on engagement outcomes, opportunities, ensuring executive visibility and Board alignment.

Governance & Reporting

• Regularly update the Board and executive team on regulatory developments, engagement outcomes.

• Ensure all engagement activities are documented and compliant with NAB Group’s Regulatory Engagement Standards.

Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.

C. Key Competencies & Experience

• Proven experience in government relations, or corporate affairs at a senior level, ideally within technology, banking, or innovation sectors.

• Strong understanding of Vietnam’s regulatory environment for technology and innovation, and established relationships with key ministries and government agencies.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

• Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing complex engagement roadmaps.

• Legal or policy background preferred; experience with public-private partnerships and digital policy is highly valued
