Associate Lawyer

- Advising clients on any legal issues in any fields for the benefit of their business success needs at the highest level of quality and effectiveness under supervision of senior lawyers;

- Drafting and reviewing legal documents (memos, legal advice, legal opinions and due-diligence reports), contracts and agreements of various types, licensing application files (including application files for investment registration certificate, enterprise registration certificate, business license, visa, temporary residence card, work permit, foreign loan registration, etc.) to be submitted to the competent authorities;

- Liaising with relevant authorities for trouble-shooting purposes and until completion of licensing procedures and, attending meetings and communicating directly with clients, suppliers, and other parties etc. when required and necessary and as mandated by senior lawyers and clients;

- Conducting in-depth research and staying updated with legal developments, regulations, and laws; drafting newsletters, legal updates and articles on legal issues; preparing materials for events with participants of senior lawyers;

- Leading and supervising paralegals during the implementation of advisory/project work and training paralegals in practical and theoretical aspects of transactional and advisory work

- Providing other supports and performing other legal and tasks as assigned by senior lawyers.

- Graduate from a renowned Vietnamese university; foreign education/work experience outside of Vietnam will be considered a plus

- 3-8 years of post-qualification work experience (PQE) preferably gained in an international working environment (international law firm experience is preferred)

- Knowledge and experience in complex legal cross-border matters

- Good oral and written skills both in English and Vietnamese

- Professionalism, confidence, dedication, integrity and trustworthiness, ability to handle stressful situations

- Advanced critical and legal reasoning skills, excellent research and drafting skills, strong and good organizational and communication skills

- Keen attention to details, excellent analytical and problem-solving and decision-making

- Experience in working independently with competent authorities and clients

- Team spirit, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively coordinate with team leader and other colleagues in providing advice to clients, to work for multitask under high pressure, to complete or assist team members to complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
