Associate Research Director

pPURPOSE Vietnam is the most dynamic market in South East Asia. Created in 2012, Ipsos Vietnam has been growing double digits consistently over the recent years, outpacing its competitors. Within Ipsos Vietnam, Innovation Service Line has been the engine of this growth. We need more senior leaders to support the development of our accounts, our people and expertise. With his ambition in mind, we are looking for associate research director, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. RESPONSIBILITY - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 8-10 resources (from associate manager to assistant), fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and high performance. - Recruitment of staff. - Challenge and mentor staff in research skills and their career development. - Conduct performance reviews and design staff development plans for the team. - Lead a number of different projects at once, ensuring time, budget and profitability requirements are met. - Produce outputs and research that are of high quality and consistent with agreed outputs. - Produce proposals that meet and where possible exceed the brief requirements. - Provide accurate analysis and interpretation of data. - Capacity to nurture client relationship, deliver on their expectations. - Demonstrate Company awareness through internal support, cross-selling and marketing and take a corporate view with new business opportunities and the relationships with existing clients (client-facing stream). - Supervised by Innovation Service Line Lead./p

pBackground: - At least 8 years of strong Market Research Experience and good application of knowledge. - Proven track record of managing a team and overseeing large-scale research projects. - Strong entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to identify business opportunities and drive growth. - Strong analysis skills with the ability to articulate complex research findings in a clear and concise manner. - Ideally, experienced in Innovation research - Ideally, experienced with FMCG accounts, including Food and Beverage. - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field; Advanced degree is a plus. Soft-skills: - Good communication skills, written and oral, in English. Vietnamese is a plus, but not mandatory. - Problem-solving skills. - Exceptional time management skills. - Good client service skills. - Able to work effectively in a team and independently. Personality: - Proactive / Self-motivated. - Ready to jump in and embrace a dynamic, growing environment.
