Automation Engineer

The automation engineer will mainly focus on the machine and equipment of factory. He/she will be the automation contact for machine trouble shooting, renovation, improvement. He/she will join actively with team from the technical study phase to operation phase, work with internal function and supplier to ensure equipment can operate smoothly, stable.

a. Technical Expertise

• Hand on programming experience with different PLC platform from Siemens, Mitsubishi.

• Proficiency with TIA Portal with at least 4 years’ experience and related software from Siemens.

• Can program with different language as LADDER, STL, SCL

• Already join, program in automation project is a must.

• Understand well about temperature controller system, inverter, servo drive and different motor controller with its application. Know main parameter and how to analyse problem, set up, replace component.

• Understand well different communication protocol such as Profinet, Profibus, TCP/IP… and configuration on system.

• Familiar with control component of hydraulic system, pneumatic system.

b. Safety & Environmental.

• Review the SRA for equipment and comply with safety requirement.

• Ensure all the machine and utility system in factory comply with government regulation about environmental.

General Responsibility:

• Follow the general compliance rules

• Tasks are done in time and acc. to internal rules or acc. to demand of superior

• Work, safety and fire and environment regulations are known and kept

• Company owned properties (devices) are used reasonably and acc. to regulation

• Quality and environmental management system are known, and their regulations are respected

• Responsible for the timely performance of the tasks assigned to him in accordance with the requirements set out in the relevant legislation, standards, internal instructions and instructions of his superior

• Responsible for the proper and professional use of the materials, tools and equipment provided

• Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes within his department

Work specific competence:

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation from HUST, Maritime University, Industrial University.

• Broad knowledge and at least 5 years professional experience in automation project, programming hand-on, deep understanding about automation equipment and control platform

• Strong understanding of manufacturing process such as drying, annealing, winding wire and maintenance pillars.

• An open and empowering management style, can provide clear directions, communicate objectives effectively and concisely.

• Preparation and presentation of documentation and reports

• Provides support to production areas and cooperation partners

• Holds in-house training in his field

Requirements (qualification, education, language skills, knowledge, experience):

• Ability to work under pressure, convincing and a trusted partner

• Good technical problem-solving skills to stabilize processes and product quality

• Pragmatic with a "hands-on approach “with “can do” attitude

• Technical English proficiency.

• Office suite proficiency, ERP platform familiar.

• Knowledge of the laws, regulations, standards, standards and internal instructions and regulations applicable to the job

• Proactive, teamwork player behaviour

• Logical thinking, familiar with different trouble shooting methodologies

• Good in English communication
