Azure Database & API Integration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Azure Database & API Integration Specialist to design, deploy, and manage an Azure-based database environment. This role involves creating and managing APIs to enable data retrieval, building structured queries, and supporting the generation of reports and insights across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and configure Azure SQL Databases (or other Azure database services as appropriate).

• Design and implement RESTful APIs to enable secure and efficient data access.

• Write complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and report on data from various sources.

• Optimize database performance, implement backups, and ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate with business analysts and report developers to understand data requirements and provide appropriate access.

• Ensure security protocols are in place for data access and API usage.

• Provide documentation and training for internal users as needed.

• Monitor and troubleshoot any database or API-related issues.

• Proven experience with Azure SQL Database or equivalent Azure data services.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with writing efficient queries.

• Experience designing and deploying REST APIs (preferably using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or API Management).

• Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, or other reporting tools that consume data from APIs.

• Understanding of Azure security features including roles, firewalls, and identity management.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate).

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

• Background in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.
