Boiler Engineer (For Thermal Power Plant)

POSITION SUMMARY

Scope, schedule and supervise maintenance of boiler, ESP, AHS, FGD, WT and WWT mechanical systems including related BOPs and equipment . Diagnose symptoms to determine causes of abnormal operation to be able to specify adequate corrective action. Maintain manuals, procedures, historical information, CMMS and inspection records ensuring adequate update. Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform maintenance duties in a safe, environmentally friendly and workmanlike manner.

• Based on experience, equipment history and O&M manuals establish scope, frequency and method for preventive (systematic and on-condition) and corrective maintenance tasks on boiler, ESP, AHS, FGD, WT, WWT mechanical systems and related mechanical equipment.

• Specify and procure mechanical spares and services as required.

• Supervise work on attributed system ensuring safe, effective and efficient implementation of work method statement.

• Prepare, maintain and update documentation, reports and CMMS as required.

• Perform other comparable and related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical or related Bachelor Engineering Degree required.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in plant maintenance engineering or equivalent industrial environment including maintenance engineering of plant mechanical equipment and maintenance work planning.

• Available to work overtime, weekends and shift work if necessary.

• Ability to conduct Planning and problem analysis regarding Boiler and related mechanical equipment or mechanical part of the supercritical coal power plant.

• Ability to Interpret Mechanical drawing, Hydraulic drawing, Vibration trend and the Result of diagnosis of mechanical troubles.

• Familiar with P&ID drawing, Visual inspection and periodic maintenance for Mechanical facilities such as Boiler, Boiler auxiliaries, etc.

• Prefer a certificate of completion on mechanical theory, hydraulic control mechanism, coal combustion theory, fluid dynamic theory and thermal dynamic theory.

• Prefer a certificate of completion for the training course on the routine or preventive maintenance work of Boiler, Boiler auxiliary of Super critical coal fired power plant and ESP, AHS, FGD, WT, WWT.

• A certificate of completion for training courses on the structure and basic principle of Boiler facilities such as Mill, Axial fan, Air preheating system, and Coal burning system.

• Possess advanced level communications skills in English (written and verbal) and be computer literate. Able to communicate using advanced vocabularies.
