Business Analysis Cum Assistant Project Manager (Deputy Manager/Manager)

Role purpose
Business Analyst cum Assistant Project Manager is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business by using data analytics to determine business requirements, improve business processes, and ensure project delivery is executed on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities
• As a Business Analyst:
• Gather and define business and configuration requirements for the Sale Platform, especially for insurance sales workflows and distribution channels.
• Collaborate with vendor and internal development team to enhance system functions and ensure alignment with insurance business processes.
• Perform QA, validate sales journeys, and ensure system accuracy.
• Define key reports and alerts related to sales performance, commissions, and partner activities.
• Support verify documents (URD, FSD…) and maintain Sale Platform processes such as lead management, quotation, e-submission, and partner onboarding… to ensure details sufficiency as users’ requirement and in scope of Request Proposal of bidding.
• Coordinate with business units, partners, and vendors to optimize integrations with core insurance systems.
• Identify issues, recommend improvements, and support UAT and deployment activities.
• Other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
• Assistant Project Manager:
• Support to follow up end-to-end project planning, scope definition, and timeline management.
• Support to coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure aligned and timely delivery.
• Support to monitor project progress, detect risks, handle change requests, and ensure quality outcomes.
• Support to prepare and communicate project status reports and report risks to stakeholders and line management.
• Oversee UAT, deployment activities, and post-implementation reviews.
• Support to manage vendor performance, SLAs, deliverables, and negotiations throughout the project lifecycle.

Education
• Bachelors / college degree in IT or equivalent
• Double graduated in professional experience.
• Business and IT.
Other required Degree, Professional Qualifications and Certifications: LOMA
Technical/ Professional/ Specific Competency Requirements
• Good problem solving skills.
• Good analytical and quantitative skills.
• Good ability to effectively communicate with both the business and technology.
• The ability to communicate within a multi-disciplined team, across multiple locations and time zones, and to interact with demanding business users.
• A flexible, hardworking and "can do" attitude; comfortable working in a fast paced environment with frequent release cycles and rapidly changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
• General knowledge of software development life cycle, and technology.
• Project management skills including project planning, scope and timeline management, risk identification and mitigation, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors, ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements.
• Experience in coordinating UAT, deployments, and post-implementation reviews.
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills, including preparing project status reports for senior management.
• Strong life insurance and/or financial markets product knowledge.
• Good knowledge of insurance operation and business processes.
Relevant Working Experience
• At least 5 years of progressively complex experience in Business Project management or/and Business and Systems Analysis, with a focus on Sale Platform, digital, or technology-driven projects in life insurance or similar financial services.
• Experience in the IT consulting industry.
• Experience in Bank and Insurance industry.
• Experience in Business Project (HR, Marketing/Sales, Finance).
• Experience in Digital Project.
Required Languages
• At least Fluent in English (read, written, spoken).
Information technology/ Technical tools
• Project management tools: MS Office, MS Project, Visio.
• General knowledge and understanding of technology.
• Flow chart, data model, business process diagram.
• PLSQL language.
• Wireframe (Figma, Pencil).
• Knowledge in Digital Solution.

• Good in communication, negotiation, presentation skills and team working
• Co-operation: able to work effectively with various levels of the organization, intra and inter-department/functional unit, with users, superiors and peers
• Planning Skills: Effectively manage and plan resource to meet pressing priorities/schedules and rapidly changing needs, which are often encountered in a new market/office situation.
• Project management Skill
• People Management: Be civil in all level of employee interaction. Handle superiors and colleagues with respect.
