PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

Responsible for obtaining materials to meet master production schedules. Coordinates all purchasing activities with planning, engineering, IQC and program management to balance customer requirements, inventory levels, product quality and cost.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Release purchasing orders to suppliers based on Lead time, MOQ/SPQ, system demand by weekly.

- Work out supplier delivery schedule and monitor suppliers delivery on time. In order to make sure no material shortage in production line.

- Control suppliers manufacturing lead time, processes, capabality, raw material, and identify the risk and solution in advance.

- Control Inventory: Maintain proper inventory level and minimum the excess material if any order cancellation.

- Report for Excess & Obsolete (E&O) material by monthly with proposal action. Work with cross functional team for action to clear the E&O.

- Control engineer change order (ECO) to cut off old stock and ram up new item.

- To confirm the schedule follow customer request (new order (MR)/Pull-push/Cancel/Swap POs).

- Analyze the material expedition option and propose solution.

- Materials lead-time analysis and propose the long lead time items to get customer approval to buy in advance.

- Be the contact points to resolve quality, delivery & all of issues of materials with suppliers for assigned projects.

- Monitor and improve supplier performance (on time delivery) to scale with the growth of the business.

- Take actions on actions messages (postpone, cancel) from weekly ERP system to minimize excess stock of raw material for assigned projects.

- Responsible for targeted material cost savings of the assigned projects.

- Do the Cost Bill of Material (CBOM) for current project and new project.

- Participate in other activities as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronics company, understand electronics categories and minimum of 2 years working experience at the same level.

Others:

- Working knowledge of computerized system required.

- Good command in English both writing and speaking.

- Good negotiation, excellent communication skill.

- Have understanding of supply chain base, especially in the electronic components market.

- Have good understanding of Incoterms & general Customs regulation/requirement of a processing company.
