Buyer - Packaging Category

Responsibilities:

• Support the Global Procurement (GP) Category Manager in managing the Packaging Category in Vietnam in terms of Cost, Quality, Service and Sustainability etc.

• Execution on the GP’s direction and activity:

• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders on new packaging project development. Be a cross-functional team member on global initiatives.

• Responsible and leading for supplier management, participating in supplier negotiation to obtain the most favorable price, schedule and business terms etc.

• FG Vendors and Packaging Suppliers' sustainability documentation validation and corrective actions development.

• Prepare proposals / information (RFP/RFI), due diligence questionnaires and reports.

• Collect market information, business analysis, preparing management reports and presentation.

• Degree holder with related in Business Administration / Procurement / Supply Chain Management.

[We would also consider candidates with manufacturing (if no sourcing or buying) experience with experience 2 years+]

• At least 3-4 years of sourcing and buying experience in packaging materials sourcing (most preferred) and negotiation, preferable in toy industry.

• Sustainability and Compliance experience will be an added advantage.

• Experience in policy implementation, questionnaires benchmarking, and analysis and compliance in Buying/Trading Office or Manufacturing Industry.

• A good team player who is well organized, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Able to work under pressure, results-oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail-minded.

• Strong problem-solving skills. Able to work with multiple tasks.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Spoken Mandarin will be an added advantage.

• Literate in Microsoft office programs and data management systems etc.
