Buyer - Tooling Category

Responsibilities:

• Support the Global Procurement (GP) Category Manager in managing the Tooling Category in Vietnam in terms of Cost, Quality, Service and Sustainability etc.

• Execution on the GP’s direction and activity:

o Manage tooling activity in Vietnam of new tools and inactive tools.

+ New Tools for productions in Vietnam Finished Goods Vendors.

+ Inactive Tools for Storage and Scrap in Vietnam.

o Working closely with internal and external stakeholders on toolingrelated activities. Be a cross-functional team member on global initiatives.

o Responsible and leading for supplier management, participating in supplier negotiation to obtain the most favorable price, schedule and business terms etc.

o Collect market information, business analysis, preparing management reports and presentation.

• Degree holder with related in Engineering / Procurement / Supply chain Management. [We would also consider candidates with manufacturing (if no sourcing or buying) experience with experience 2 years+]

• At least 3-4 years of sourcing and buying experience in tooling sourcing (most preferred), engineering related sourcing and negotiation, preferable in toy industry.

• Sustainability and Compliance experience will be an added advantage.

• Experience in policy implementation, questionnaires benchmarking, and analysis and compliance in Buying/Trading Office or Manufacturing Industry.

• A good team player who is well organized, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Able to work under pressure, results-oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail-minded.

• Strong problem-solving skills, and able to work with multiple tasks.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English. Spoken Mandarin will be an added advantage.

• Literate in Microsoft office programs and data management systems etc.
