Category Sourcing Manager (Chinese & English Speaking)

Our Partner is a leading multinational company and a pioneer in the flexible packaging manufactur-ing industry, specializing in sophisticated packaging solutions, delivering unparalleled quality across various sectors, including food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the sourcing team based in SE Asia that procures traded goods for the NA market.

• Accountable for market analysis, providing final reports to the NA team, and managing all supplier relationships.

• Find and assess opportunities for cost reduction while identifying and vetting reliable, quali-ty-focused vendors.

• Formulate annual plans for cost savings and lead price and term negotiations with suppliers.

• Maintain a cost-effective supply chain by conducting competitive bids and market bench-marking activities.

• Gain a clear understanding of the business unit's needs and ensure they are promptly included in overall Group purchasing plans.

• Handle the onboarding of new suppliers and the offboarding of current ones according to the official supplier qualification process.

• Coordinate project teams for sourcing initiatives that include members from various depart-ments, like Sales and New Product Development.

• Responsible for the upkeep and management of the primary data in the database for sourced goods

• Fluency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin).

• A university degree or higher in any field.

• A minimum of 03 years of experience in product purchasing or procurement.

• At least 01 year of experience in a management or supervisory role.

• Prior experience within the packaging industry is considered a plus.

• Possesses a strong understanding of products and has excellent organizational skills.

• This position requires occasional business travel.

• Proficient with computers, with advanced skills in MS Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex calculation models.
