Chemical Engineer

1) Chemical Inventory & Planning

- Monitor and control daily chemical stock to meet production demand.

- Calculate required chemical quantities and raise purchase requisitions for local and overseas suppliers.

- Track overseas shipments and ensure on‑time availability.

2) Documentation & Systems

- Update and maintain TDS (Technical Data Sheet) and MSDS validity in the MIS system.

- Create and manage chemical codes in the PLM system.

- Ensure documentation accuracy, validity, and compliance with regulations and brand requirements.

3) Testing & Process Improvement

- Coordinate with production teams and experts to test chemicals and evaluate effectiveness.

- Troubleshoot issues related to chemicals and propose corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Identify initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality and sustainability.

4) Compliance, Reporting & Audits

- Prepare and submit chemical usage/compliance reports as required by Compliance or Management.

- Support internal/external audits on chemical storage, handling, documentation, and traceability.

- Ensure adherence to SAITEX standards and applicable frameworks (e.g., Bluesign®, ZDHC, REACH).

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.

- 2–3 years of experience in a similar role in textile/garment or manufacturing environment.

- Working knowledge of chemical safety regulations and MSDS/TDS; familiarity with MIS/PLM is an advantage.

- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic data/reporting skills.

- English communication and report‑writing skills.
