Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – English Education

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the highest authority at UCLA English Academy, directly responsible for leading, managing, and overseeing the academy’s entire organizational structure.

As the legal representative of the academy, the CEO is fully accountable to all government authorities for every operation and activity carried out by UCLA English Academy.

The CEO provides strategic direction, ensures operational efficiency, maintains academic excellence, and drives sustainable growth. This role oversees all departments - Academics, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Finance - ensuring the academy delivers high-quality English education and maintains a strong and reputable position in Vietnam’s education market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute UCLA English Academy’s long-term vision, mission, and growth strategies.

• Set annual business and academic goals aligned with the organization’s core values.

• Lead the planning and implementation of new programs, partnerships, and branch expansion.

2. Academic Excellence

• Oversee academic direction in collaboration with the Academic Manager and Teaching team.

• Ensure teaching quality, curriculum relevance, and student satisfaction.

• Promote innovation in teaching methods and student engagement.

3. Business Operations & Finance

• Manage overall operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.

• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and expense management.

• Evaluate and optimize cost structures while maintaining service quality.

4. Marketing, Branding & Public Relations

• Represent UCLA English Academy as the official brand face in internal and external communications.

• Direct marketing and student recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Lead.

• Ensure consistent brand identity, reputation management, and media presence.

5. People & Culture

• Build and nurture a strong, collaborative organizational culture.

• Lead, coach, and evaluate department heads and key managers.

• Oversee recruitment, retention, and development of top teaching and administrative talent.

6. Stakeholder Management

• Build partnerships with schools, organizations, and communities.

• Maintain communication with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.

• Report regularly on business performance and organizational health.

To meet Vietnamese regulatory standards for English center leadership, the CEO must satisfy one of the following academic qualification pathways:

A. Academic Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree issued by a Vietnamese government–accredited university (Business Administration, Education Management, English Teaching, English Language, or any related field).

2. Hold a Vietnamese English proficiency certificate at Level 3 or above (B1+) according to the Vietnam 6-level framework.

**Note: TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, and similar international certificates do NOT replace the required Vietnamese English proficiency level.

B. Professional Experience

• Have at least 1 year of verified management experience in the education sector, supported by official written confirmation from previous employers.

• Advantage: proven experience managing operations, P&L, or teams of 10–30+ staff.

C. Additional Skills

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of Vietnam’s education market and the expectations of students and parents.

• Fluent in English is an advantage.
