Chief Operating Officer (COO) F&B
Job description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key executive position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the organization. The COO will work closely with the CEO and other members of the senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies that drive the company's growth and success.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Translate the company's vision and mission into actionable plans and initiatives.
- Monitor progress towards strategic objectives and make adjustments as necessary to ensure alignment with company goals.
Operational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the organization.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to optimize productivity and performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Financial Management:
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to develop and manage the company's budget and financial plans.
- Monitor financial performance and make recommendations for cost optimization and revenue generation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership and direction to department heads and other key personnel.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability throughout the organization.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks to the organization and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement processes and procedures to safeguard company assets and minimize exposure to risk.
Business Development and Expansion:
- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion into new markets or product lines.
- Lead strategic initiatives to capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
Job requirements
- Fluently in English/ Korean. (with Korean language is a bonus)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a COO or in a similar capacity. (F&B highly preferred)
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a track record of driving organizational growth and success.
- Excellent leadership and management abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Solid understanding of financial management principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
