Condition Monitoring Engineer

* Work location: Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam * Job type: full time permanent * Employee type: local Vietnamese only POSITION SUMMARY The Condition Monitoring Engineer is responsible for specifying and analyzing condition data to ensure consistent on-condition maintenance and operational decisions are made. The Condition Monitoring Engineer will also follow or manage RCA processes, ensuring lessons learned are incorporated to existing and future procedures as appropriate. Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: • Performs engineering duties in a safe, environmentally friendly, and workmanlike manner. • Monitors, analyzes and interprets the condition of the different plant systems and equipment, ensuring adequate reporting to the interested sections in the operations and maintenance departments. Participates and leads RCA of failed or underperforming systems and equipment promoting the incorporation of lessons learned in existing procedures, plans and practices to avoid recurrence. • Frequently audits condition monitoring data gathering practices to ascertain relevance and quality for the targeted failure mechanism control and mitigation. Develops and implements appropriate analysis tools to ensure fast and consistent trending of existing data. • Prepares, maintains and updates documentation, reports and CMMS as required. • Assists in the development of annual plans and budgets. • Performs additional duties as required. * VAPCO is a fair Employer. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar capacity for a coal Power plant. • Ability to conduct Planning and problem analysis regarding Supercritical coal power plants. • Prefer a certificate of completion in mechanical theory and thermal dynamic theory. • Competent in Gate Cycle or Thermoflow or similar. • Possess advanced level communications skills in English (written and verbal) and be computer literate, able to communicate using advanced vocabularies.
