Control Engineer

Your Job

Research, design, and develop programs, logic diagrams, and electrical wiring for automation machines, robots, and semi-automated systems. This role focuses on building, optimizing, and improving automation equipment and technology to enhance production processes and ensure operational excellence.

Our Team

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from Quality Control (QC), Production, and Mechanical Engineering teams in both Japan and Korea. You will work in a dynamic environment to advance automation technologies and enhance production efficiencies.

What You Will Do

- Develop process concepts and select automation devices for new machines, including programming PLCs, coding, and robot teaching.

- Design and build electrical hardware and control software for automation systems, including robots and high-speed microprocessor programs.

- Lead machine building, debugging, adjustment, and trials to ensure machine readiness for mass production.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the trial and pre-mass-production phases to ensure smooth operations.

- Research and apply new technologies to improve production equipment and processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.

- Manage equipment documentation, including BOM lists, assembly diagrams, and I/O maps.

- Support suppliers in resolving issues related to new machine designs and setups.

- Adhere to and promote compliance with safety, environmental, and corporate responsibility standards.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation, machine design, or a related field.

- Proficient in designing PLC programs, robot programming, and C++ coding for automation systems.

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation equipment.

- Ability to create and interpret technical documents, with proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- English communication skills.
