Cost Controller

Mission & Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and comment on financial data related to project results, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring compliance with Group procedures and supporting decision-making.

• Contribute to the improvement of financial tools, processes, and reporting systems to optimize financial visibility and project performance across IDEC Group Asia.

• Collect financial information and establish forecasts in coordination with project, business development, and accounting teams.

• Participate in preparation, follow-up, and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

• Monitor and analyze project performance, revenue recognition (percentage of completion), costs, and margins.

• Support project teams in cost planning, deviation analysis, and corrective actions.

• Verify accuracy of cost-to-complete, monthly adjustments, and subcontractor/ supplier cost tracking.

• Produce monthly dashboards, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and management commentary.

• Support preparation of semi-annual and annual financial results, including provisions entries.

• Maintain reporting alignment with the Group guidelines and communicate improvement proposals to Group Controlling.

• Participate in quarterly Group reporting meetings and ensure consistent communication on financial matters.

• Continuously improving financial control processes, dashboards, and analytical tools.

• Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and internal control procedures.

• Other relevant tasks as assigned by Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• CPA or equivalent professional finance and accounting qualification is preferable.

• Approximately 5 years of experience in financial controlling or cost controlling, ideally in construction/real estate or project-based environments.

• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.

• Excellent command of MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills with ability to proactively interact with cross-functional and international teams.

• Fluency in Vietnamese and English (mandatory).

• French language would be a plus.

• Detail-oriented, reliable, autonomous, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
