Crypto Trading Analyst (Research-Focused)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and research-driven Crypto Trading Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about crypto markets, quantitative research, and the intersection of AI/data science and trading. A significant part of your responsibility will be conducting in-depth market research and supporting day-to-day trading operations, alongside with curating high-quality datasets for the development and evaluation of trading models.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cryptocurrency markets and macro events to identify trading opportunities and risks

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on digital assets, protocols, and market trends

• Analyze on-chain and off-chain data (e.g., wallet flows, order books, social sentiment) to generate actionable insights

• Backtest, benchmark, and evaluate trading strategies using historical and real-time data

• Prepare regular trading and research reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Support the automation of data collection, annotation, and reporting processes

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, research papers, and emerging trends in crypto trading and AI/data science

• Label, validate, and manage trading-related datasets for model training and evaluation (e.g., event impact, price movement, market sentiment, on-chain activity, and more)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related)

• Experience in research, data analysis, or trading roles (crypto/DeFi/Web3 experience is a plus)

• Proven experience working with datasets—data labeling, annotation, or dataset curation (ideally in trading, finance, or AI/ML context)

• Proficiency with data analysis and scripting tools (Python, R, SQL, etc.)

• Strong understanding of digital assets, financial markets, and blockchain technology

• Familiarity with on-chain analytics tools and crypto data APIs

• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment

• Bonus: Quantitative trading, knowledge of machine learning workflows, model evaluation.
