Data Engineer (2+ Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Azure Data Operations Engineer to join our data integration team. This role is responsible for managing, monitoring, optimizing, and enhancing data workflows and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring data availability, integrity, and performance across our cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Management: Monitor and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance.

• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

• Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell, Python, or SQL, Azure CLI scripts for operational tasks and automation.

• Security & Compliance: Ensure data operations adhere to security policies, governance standards, and compliance requirements.

• Incident Response: Investigate and resolve data-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate root cause analysis.

• Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams to support data-driven initiatives and deployments.

• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of operational procedures, configurations, and workflows.

• 2+ years of experience in Azure cloud operations

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Azure services: Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL, Key Vault, etc.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Azure DevOps)

• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Preferred experience with MS Fabric

• Strong command of the English language
