Deputy Area Manager (12 - 25 Stores)

POSITION OBJECTIVE
1. Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency.
2. Coordinate & setting date of store annual stock take as per criteria & suitability.
3. Coordinate, well preparation & take part in new store opening.
4. Lead a team of Branch managers towards effective collaboration, attainment of goal.
5. Ensure store compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines.
6. Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.
7. Investigate on store performance failure & action taken for improving or prevention related.
8. Identifying and applying career advancement opportunities to staff.
9. Report to Area Manager or above on progress and any issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Main and detail information)
1. Operational Efficiency:
• Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency across all branches and the division.
• Ensure all branch operations adhere to company standards, including stocking and cleaning.
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain operational consistency.
2. Leadership & Team Management:
• Recruit, train, discipline, challenge, motivate, encourage, and provide constructive guidance to store teams.
• Provide leadership by example and direction to all employees.
• Provide SOP training to enhance team skills and performance.
• Ensure completion of assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
• Conduct regular meetings with store key person to discuss performance, share updates, and align on goals.
3. Performance Monitoring:
• Monitor each branch’s Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG), Net loss, Manpower efficiency, and utility expenses.
• Investigate performance failures and implement actions for improvement or prevention.
• Monitor sales and work towards achieving monthly sales targets set by HQ.
• Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve performance.
4. Customer Service Excellent:
• Implement and maintain customer service initiatives across all branches.
• Ensure consistent levels of customer service and address issues quickly and courteously.
• Process refunds and exchanges, resolving customer complaints effectively.
• Train staff on customer service best practices and conflict resolution.
5. Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
6. Reporting and Communication:
• Prepare regular reports on branch and division performance for management.
• Ensure effective communication within the team and across different departments.
• Represent the store and division at company meetings and external events.
• Provide information and data to superiors when requested.
• Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, including staff, customers, and suppliers.
7. Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure all stores and the division comply with company policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across all locations.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Cash & Sales Management:
• Develop and manage the branch and division budget, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
• Ensure daily sales are accurately recorded and deposited across branches.
• Check and ensure petty cash are accounted for and used appropriately.
• Monitor inventory levels and report to superiors.
• Analyze financial reports and use data to make informed business decisions.
9. Problem Solving:
• Address and resolve operational problems promptly.
• Assist superiors in investigating sales failures, net loss failures, and manpower efficiency issues.
• Develop contingency plans for unexpected challenges, such as supply chain disruptions or staff shortages.
10. Business Development:
• Collaborate with the Business Development team on the setup and takeover of new stores.
• Lead new store soft openings and work with marketing to organize grand opening events.
• Create business strategies to attract new customers and expand store traffic.
• Identify and capitalize on market trends and consumer preferences.
11. Inventory and Stock Management:
• Arrange and ensure the completion of stock preparation for stock takes, leading the stock take process.
• Coordinate and set dates for annual stock takes according to criteria and suitability.
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize shrinkage and overstock.
Yêu cầu công việc
• Education/ Học vấn: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
• Experience/ Kinh nghiệm:
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the retail industry.
- Proven track record of managing multiple retail locations.
• Knowledge/ Kiến thức: Knowledge of retail management best practices, including inventory control, customer service, and team management.
• Foreign language/ Ngoại ngữ: Professional in English
• Skills/ Kỹ năng:
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent & Strong problem-solving skill.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant business software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to trave as required
