Deputy Shipping Manager (Exports, Logistics, Food, FMCG)

Position: Deputy Shipping Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Location in Long An, with shuttle bus in District 1, HCMC. Prefer candidates in Long An.

Oversee and manage the daily operations of bulk cargo handling and full vessel charter arrangements.

Ensure smooth collaboration with shipping partners, port agencies, and internal documentation teams to maintain deadlines and service quality.

Analyze and verify shipment schedules, bookings, and transport instructions.

Resolve operational challenges and step in to manage urgent or complex shipment matters.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance regarding import/export regulations and legal frameworks.

Collaborate with the team to compile, evaluate, and report performance data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Liaise across departments including Sales, Production, and Finance to ensure timely shipments and accurate documentation.

Distribute responsibilities and adjust assignments based on urgency and team availability.

Offer mentorship and direction to junior colleagues for their development.

Take part in onboarding and training activities for new hires within the department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education Bachelor’s or College degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, or related fields.

Language & Computer Proficient in English and skilled in Microsoft Office tools.

Technical Abilities Strong command of logistics and shipping workflows with exporting more than 90%, handled with huge number of containers up to 500 conts/ month

Behavioral Attributes Detail-oriented, trustworthy, cooperative, and responsible.

Experience Minimum of 5 years working in logistics/import-export within a manufacturing setup; prior leadership of a team of at least 2–3 people required.
