Design Assistant Manager (Packaging Design)

Job Summary:

CJ Foods Vietnam is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Design Assistant Manager with expertise in food packaging design and brand storytelling.

In this role, you will help shape how our brands come to life through thoughtful, high-impact design that connects with consumers and elevates our products on the shelf. You will oversee packaging design projects from concept to completion, developing creative ideas, ensuring brand consistency, and collaborating closely with the marketing team and cross-functional partners. You will also lead and mentor a small design team to deliver best-in-class work that reflects CJ’s brand vision and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strong background in food or FMCG packaging design.

2. Deep understanding of brand storytelling and how design influences consumer perception.

3. Proven ability to manage end-to-end design projects, from strategy and concept to final production.

4. Experience collaborating with marketing, product, and regional teams.

5. A proactive, creative mindset with strong attention to detail.

This role reports directly to the Design Manager and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the growth of CJ’s food brands.

1. Education & Professional Background: Bachelor's degree in GRAPHIC DESIGN or any other design related field.

2. Experiences & Soft Skills:

• A good portfolio of design and creative projects.

• At least 03-05 year of working experience with similar position

• Strong abilities in written and spoken English

• Prior experience as a lead designer or related role.

• Expert with design software and editing tools. (Adobe Creative Suite)

• Good command over design techniques and visual elements.

• Good aesthetic sense, creative thinking with attention to detail.

• Good Team-Player

• Self-motivation

• Good communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
