Development Engineer

Vestergaard Vietnam team is looking for a Development Engineer to support development projects activities in Vietnam. Key tasks are formulations related, at laboratory and industrial pilot levels, and with the interface with factories. With a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, preferably with specialization in organic field, the position will report to the Development Lead. Main Accountabilities 1. Participate to formulation development projects in Vietnam. • Assess processability of potential developed formulations. • Support the Development Lead in transferring formulations and associated technology from laboratory/project to production. • Provide SOPs/WI to process the new formulations preparation in production. 2. Identify/propose alternative sources of chemicals. • Identify and propose alternative sources of chemicals for established formulations. • Run the evaluation and validation of alternative materials at laboratory and production levels. • Provide recipes data to line manager for verification and validation prior to sending to factories. 3. Support internal and factories training on new chemical/formulation in terms of formulation preparation, particularly in areas of process and controls. 4. Join technical support team for problem solving with evidence base. • Join established products’ performances improvement project. • Join evaluation and validation for new automatic chemical mixing system. • Support data collection and statistical analysis related to new product production launch (formulations performances), investigate root causes for variations and losses and join the improvement solutions team. 5. Ensure the EHS rules are followed at formulation laboratory, act and report for any deviations and risks.
