About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll lead the design, automation, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in cloud engineering and DevOps practices to meaningful work that supports better health outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are secure, compliant, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure (primarily EC2, EKS, WAF) to support healthcare applications.

- Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning using AWS CDK and CloudFormation; Terraform may be used in certain projects.

- Build and maintain development, staging, and production environments.

- Monitor system performance and reliability using AWS CloudWatch, setting up alerts and dashboards to proactively detect issues.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to streamline delivery processes and improve system resilience.

- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions across AWS and Windows/SQL Server environments.

- Secure cloud infrastructure by applying best practices in access control, patching, and threat mitigation.

- Manage backup and recovery strategies for critical workloads and databases, ensuring business continuity.

- Advanced Linux/Unix systems administration skills.

- Understanding of DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and network security.

- Write and optimize SQL queries to support operational and reporting needs.

- Stay up to date on AWS services, DevOps trends, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certification

- Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, EKS, WAF, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation; Terraform experience is a plus.

- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).

- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus).

- Basic scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash).

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in English
