The Digital Marketing Officer is a fast-paced, dynamic position that encompasses two distinct spheres of responsibilities: strategic development and hands-on execution. The first is to increase awareness of SSIS to prospective parents, the community, and other stakeholders using a suite of digital marketing channels, including Google, Facebook, Instagram, and social video platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. To do this, the Digital Marketing Officer will have demonstrated experience in building effective lead-generating online campaigns on search and social platforms, and be well-versed in tracking and reporting on campaign performance to leadership.
The Digital Marketing Officer is also responsible for SSIS’ content marketing initiatives, and will produce creative and engaging editorial content that is distributed across the school’s multimedia channels, particularly on its website and social media outlets.
Digital Marketing Responsibilities:
● Develop an annual plan and roadmap for the school’s digital marketing strategy, with objectives that include target audiences and customer acquisition goals.
● Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective and impactful campaigns.
● Ensure that the school's marketing efforts are aligned with the school's mission, goals, and objectives.
● Maintain an organized and easily accessible database of the school’s digital marketing assets and videos.
● Conduct comprehensive market research and data analysis, tracking trends in website traffic, online advertising, and social media performance.
● Use data-driven insights to make informed adjustments to campaigns to optimize SSIS admissions and retention efforts.
● Support offline and other school marketing activities as needed.
Digital Content Production Responsibilities:
● Develop, maintain, and adhere to an editorial/production calendar for the year.
● Maintain an active and dynamic presence on the school’s social media channels by creating content that drives high engagement across all platforms.
● Produce materials required for the SSIS website, publications, and external content sites as requested.
● Produce video content for marketing purposes, working closely with internal stakeholders and outside vendors to ensure alignment with the school’s branding and messaging.
Skills & Experience:
● Experience with building lead-generation landing pages and sales funnels for either corporate or educational institutions.
● Solid knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and social media analytics platforms.
● Experience managing social media and search ad campaigns.
● A deep understanding of SEO, including both the strategic development of content to drive organic search and the technical optimization of platforms for scalable growth.
● Fluency in both written and spoken English and a proven track record creating English-language social media content.
● Extensive experience in social media and web publishing. Knowledge of major Content Management Systems, including WordPress, Finalsite, strongly preferred.
● Background in either/both video/social video production that includes concept creation, shooting, and post-production (using either traditional applications like Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere or Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Video, among others)

• Great communicator in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to successfully influence and communicate complex information clearly to colleagues and leadership.
• High attention to detail and excellent proofreading, writing, and editing skills.
• Proven experience working effectively in a team environment, contributing to the collective success of the marketing department.
• Maintains a friendly and collegial relationship with the larger school community, including students, teachers, staff, administrators, and parents.

• A willingness to devote time to events and activities after school hours.
