PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB: Coordinating and leading (appointed) staff members and activities for the benefit of the interior of new ships in such a way that the ships meet the set quality criteria in a timely fashion

1, Employee Performance
Coordinating and managing appointed employees.
- Managing activities
- Discussing assignments and giving directions and instructions.
- Looking after a correct task execution quality and quantity wise. Answering questions and solving issues.
- Looking after a correct and efficient usage of materials and tools.
- Coordinating and looking after the execution of working activities by hired workers.
2, Finalized-related activities.
Looking after the realization of assembly activities for the benefit of a build number follow the budgets.
- Looking after the timely presence of (helping) tools, materials, and parts. Discussing irregularities and deficits with the storage room and/or the purchasing department, business office, and engineering.
- Setting up the necessary equipment, materials and drawings that are needed for the concerning build number, using a forklift if necessary.
- Checking employee work activities based on drawings and materials. Signaling deviations and giving instructions.
Enabling the maintenance department in the case of equipment failure.
3, Project progress
Looking over project process including workshop-related activities.
- Monitoring progress of workshop-related activities and keeping and managing the planning.
- Discussing the required capacity with the department leader on a weekly basis.
- Syncing the work activities between leads of other disciplines.
4, Looking after staff members affairs
Looking after staff members’ affairs of the appointed employees.
- Taking care of the daily hour-management, registering presence and absent on digital hour cards.
- Advising the department leader on salary increases and the functioning of employees.
- Signaling and finding out whether employees want to partake in further education, and discussing said needs with the department leader.
- Promoting a pleasant working atmosphere.
5, Other contributions
Carrying out additional tasks.
- Advising the Workshop manager about necessary investments and purchasing of new equipment and tools.
- Adhering to company- and work regulations (including QA&E, HS&E and Employee Manual regulations).
