EHS Manager

Main Responsibilities – EHS Manager

1. EHS Management System & Compliance

Establish, implement, and maintain the EHS management system in line with A&E policies and programs.

Monitor and ensure all EHS procedures are followed across the plant.

Regularly assess the effectiveness of control systems and recommend improvements.

Design and monitor control systems to handle violations of legal rules and internal policies.

Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or recurring issues.

2. EHS During Plant Construction & Operations

Participate in EHS-related activities during plant construction to ensure compliance with national and local laws on safety, environment, occupational health, and fire protection.

Provide professional consultation and support to ensure operations are conducted safely and environmentally responsibly.

3. Training & Awareness

Coordinate with departments to organize EHS training for new, transferred, and on-the-job employees.

Lead employee training sessions on legal, compliance, and EHS issues.

4. Audits & Investigations

Take charge of internal and external EHS audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Participate in accident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend EHS-related corrective/preventive measures.

Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes.

5. Emergency Preparedness

Establish and implement emergency plans for fire, accidents, and environmental pollution.

Coordinate with departments to conduct regular emergency drills.

6. Liaison & Policy Development

Liaise with government agencies regarding EHS matters.

Develop, implement, and review company policies and regulations.

Coordinate with department managers to ensure departmental compliance policies are up to date.

7. Team Leadership

Supervise compliance officers and EHS team members.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for EHS Manager:

- Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.

- At least 5 years of EHS experience in an international company.

- Good command of English.

- Familiarity with Vietnamese EHS laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

- Strong communication, logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Hardworking, with strong team spirit and excellent execution capability.
