Electrical Maintenance Engineer

An US publicly traded company in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with approx. $6B market cap that serves a variety of HVAC end markets through 5 operating companies. The company has recently completed a large acquisition of an US privately owned company which manufactures HVAC Grills, Registers and Diffusers (GRD) in Vietnam. The acquired company is a market leader of GRD segment in US market. The factory in Vietnam is located at Nhon Trach Industrial Park Zone 1 with 60,000sqm and 1,500 employees.

We’re looking for Electrical maintenance Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. This role will support production and facility operations by troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Develop and improve electrical systems, equipment, and components based on requirements and specifications.

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent operation.

• Project Management: Lead or assist in electrical engineering projects, including installation, upgrade, and testing of electrical systems.

• Compliance: Ensure that all electrical installations comply with local and national regulations, building codes, and safety standards.

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, specifications, reports, and compliance documentation.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, maintenance teams, and external contractors to improve overall facility performance.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for electrical system improvements in reliability, efficiency, and cost reduction.

• Training and Support: Provide technical training to team members and support continuous knowledge improvement within the team.

• Troubleshooting: Support technicians on troubleshooting (Receive escalation from PM/CM technicians then support them, collecting data, root cause analysis, define preventive actions).

• Spare parts: Control spare parts (Define spare part list, Control safety stock, consumption and spare parts cost).

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical maintenance. Having automation experience in a manufacturing industry will be an advantage.

• Technical Skills:

o Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics.

o Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive action planning.

o Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.

o Experience with electrical control systems and PLC programming is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

o Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

o Ability to work in various environmental conditions (manufacturing/industrial environment).

• Language: Proficiency in English.
