Electrical Maintenance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY (Objective/Purpose of Position):

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems and equipment within the facility. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment. The specialist will work closely with engineering, production, safety teams and other teams (HR-GA, Finance…) to maintain compliance with electrical codes and standards while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Key RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take responsibility to install electrical equipment in initial setup.

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems, including motors, control panels, PLCs, and power distribution units.

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.

• Assist in the design and implementation of electrical upgrades and modifications.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, codes, and company policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Major Actions and Support Actions

1. Safety/Environment and Compliance Assurance

- Responsibilities: Ensuring all electrical work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS).

- Business Impact: Reduces risk of accidents, legal liabilities, and ensures a safe working environment.

2. Equipment Installation and Commissioning

- Role: Support or lead the mechanical setup, alignment, and testing of new machinery.

- Business Impact: Ensures new equipment is installed correctly and operates efficiently from the start.

3. Preventive Maintenance Management

- Responsibilities: Scheduling, executing, and documenting routine inspections and maintenance tasks.

- Business Impact: Reduces unplanned downtime, extends equipment life, and ensures compliance with maintenance schedules.

4. Troubleshooting and Corrective Maintenance

- Responsibilities: Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults quickly and effectively.

- Business Impact: Minimizes production interruptions and maintains operational continuity.

5. Continuous Improvement and Technical Support

- Responsibilities: Participating in root cause analysis, process improvement initiatives, and supporting engineering projects.

- Business Impact: Enhances system efficiency, reduces maintenance costs, and supports innovation.

6. Spare Parts and Inventory Management

- Role: Identify required spare parts, manage inventory levels, and coordinate with procurement.

- Business Impact: Prevents delays in repairs and optimizes maintenance costs.

Educational requirements, Certifications:

• Diploma/ College/ University degree in: Electrical Engineering; Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity.

Experience:

• Prefer candidate who have the experience in setting up new electrical system for new factory.

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, control systems, and industrial automation is highly preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

• Ability to communicate English in (listening, writing, speaking) in business manner.

• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Require shift work or on-call duty.
